Why A New Motto?
“Do you have a pill….?”
We have pills for lots of ailments, but not this one. An adult son asked our doctor if we had a pill which would keep his aged father from being hungry. They didn’t have food and his father was hungry all the time. It made me want to cry.
In CC1, we provide medical treatments and give spiritual encouragement. We set up our clinics at small local churches and work with local pastors. In this case, we summoned the pastor, brought them some food and opened the door for new spiritual connections. When you are physically hungry or physically sick, I believe it might be harder to focus on your spiritual growth (unless you are a strong believer).
RMM is not there to physically feed people, but we do help foster connections between the people and God’s church, in an effort to help lost souls find their way to Jesus. Our new motto came out of feedback from this and other pastors. They repeatedly texted our doctor about the “hope” that we brought to the communities and people we serve.
